Sony shipped more than 1 million PS3 Move bundles in their first month on sale. If you have not yet bought your new PlayStation 3 motion control system, get in there quickly before other Christmas holiday shoppers snap them all up.

Move is Sony PlayStation's answer to the Nintendo Wii and the XBox Kinect. It offers owners of the PS3 system an innovative motion gaming experience. It is highly realistic where you, the player, don't just watch and play a game, you become part of it. You interact with, and are integral to, the game. Using high definition graphics and dynamic gameplay, you become completely immersed into the game.

The Move hardware is basically a precisely timed motion tracking camera that picks up the every move of the special controller that you hold. You do not need to buy a new PS3 console unless you do not have one or you want to upgrade your existing one to this slimline version with a massive 320GB hard drive. The hardware necessary to play Move games are best bought bundled together so you know you have everything you need at a cheaper price than you would pay for each item individually.

• A second Move Controller for multi player games. The console can talk to up to 4 Controllers.
• One or two Navigation controllers. You need these controllers for your left hand in some games - the DualShock controller will do the job but isn't quite as good.
• A dedicated charger for your Controllers so you can charge up to 4 Controllers without connecting them to the PS3 console.
• A PS3 TV remote control for when you're watching movies - it makes life so much easier.

The Nintendo Wii console has been around for a few years now and is appealing as it is cheaper than the PlayStation Move. The motion gaming on the PS3 is much more advanced though.

The XBox alternative is the XBox Kinect which is due out in early November. It does not use a Controller but rather uses full body tracking, so in effect you are the Controller.
